The 46th Annual Association of American Hockey League Booster Club’s Convention September 10th - 12th, 2010

This year’s convention will be held at the Holiday Inn Arena, in Binghamton, New York, a city which has been home to an American Hockey League franchise since 1973. Our convention will be hosted by the Binghamton Senators Booster Club The host hotel is a high rise hotel and conference center located in the heart of the downtown business district and across the street from the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, home to the Binghamton Senators - so if you've been there, you can find the hotel! It was the host hotel for the 2008 AHL All-Star Game as well. The Holiday Inn Arena offers 237 guest rooms renovated over the past two years. With plenty of special in-room amenities - the public areas of the hotel are currently undergoing renovations set to be complete by mid-summer and fine tuned by convention time! Parking is free and on ground parking lots. Bus parking is not a problem for those clubs wishing to travel in together. I’m sure you will find the hotel and our hosts more than adequate, keeping with the upscale standard that we have set in previous conventions. Let us know if your plans are to fly into BGM, as the Sens Booster Club will meet you at the airport and help with transportation arrangements to the Holiday Inn Arena. We hope you come and enjoy your time in our city... LET THE PARTY BEGIN!

This year's Friday Night theme will be Comics and Comic Strip Characters as Binghamton is the hometown of Johnny Hart, Cartoonist and original creator of the world famous cartoons "B.C." and "Wizard of Id." You can see the Hart Family - Johnny's vision and now his grandson's Mason's talented pen, daily in thousands of Newspapers worldwide. Johnny Hart has a special place in the heart of Binghamton Hockey Fans, as he also designed the logo's for Binghamton's original hockey name, the Broome Dusters and then later the BC Icemen.
